SOUTH CANTERBURY FOOTBALL CLUB.

At a meeting last evening there was a large attendance. Mr Hamersley was called to the chair.

The resignation of the Captain and Secretary (Messrs Smith and Mackay respectively) was accepted, the Managing Committee’s report, and balance sheet were read and adopted, and the election of officers was .proceeded .with. For the post of Captain and Secretary Messrs W. S. Black and Shirtcliffe were chosen, Mr Hamersley being President. The first match, it was decided,should be played on April :15. Thanks were offered to Mr Wool!combe for the use of Ins paddock ; to Mr Mackay for bis services as Secretary, and to the Chairman for presiding bn this occasion, ;and the meeting then terminated.
