DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
The firing by the 0 Battery, N,Z.A., for the district prizes took place on the Battery’s range, Saltwater Creek, yesterday afternoon. Owing to some of the members of the Battery being out of town, there was not a good attendance, eleven only taking part in the contest. The conditions were seven shots at each range, the ranges being 200, 260, and 300 yards, and the target Oft by 4ft,with an eight inch ball’s eye. The following are the particulars of the firmer :
