The ordinary revenue for the quarter ended 31st sit., amounted to £1,101,349, including Customs, £366,235 ; railways, £205,813; stamps, £36,399p05ta1, £34,398 ; telegraph, £19,345 ; beer duty, £17,024; judicial, £16,679 ; depasturing licenses, £36,927. The expenditure was £782,385, viz., £352,624 permanent appropriations ; £429,544 annual appropriations, and £215 for services not provided for. The land fund shows receipts of £177,838, and expenditure, £119,118* Of the public works fund for the quarter, the expenditure was £331,289; including £49,500 for the redemption of debentures. Local bodies accounts of receipts are £28,322, including license fees £17,886, goldfields revenue £5475, and, gold duty £9395. Expenditure £17,113, balance in hand £11,209.
