[Reuter's Agency,] Australian BoatSydney, Dec. 6. Sailed, this afternoon—Union Company’s steamship Hero, for New Zealand. A Libel Case. An application was made to-day for a new trial in the libel case Moore (lessee of Clontarf Pleasure Grounds) versus the proprietors of the Sydney “ Bulletin,” in which a verdict of one farthing damages and costs was returned for the plaintiff in May last. The application was refused. Laws of Health. In the Legislative Assembly last night a Bill was introduced by the Government for preventing the spread of smallpox in the colony. Westport Coals. Melbourne, Deo, 6, The local provisional directors of the Wesport Coal Mining Company, Limited, have decided to allot all the applications for shares by persons in this colony in full.
