(Per Press Association.) Religion in Schools. Auckland, Oct. 5. The Presbytery to-day passed a resolution appointing a committee to inquire into and report fully upon the means of providing religious instruction in public schools, A similar motion Ims been given notice of in the Diocesan Synod. Another EntryWellington, Cot, o. Mr J. Wilson of Sandon, is a candidate for the Foxton seat. Quarantined. The Wakatipu arrived from Sydney early this morning, and proceeded to the quarantine station. She is expected to be admitted to pratique at noon to-day. No Room to Stand. Nelson, Oct. 5. Mr Collins announces that, his district having been practically abolished, it is not his intention to seek re-election to the House of Representatives.
