Consols have advanced and are quoted to-day at New Zealand securities are firm at the following quota tions 5 per cent 10-40 loan, 102£ ; 5 per cent 1889 loan, 102£ ; per cent 1879-1904 loan, 90J. ProduceTho tone of the wheat market is firm, with an upward tendency. Adelaide wheat ex store, remains at 68s; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 565, an advance of Is ; Adelaide flour, ex store, 425, an advance of fid. Australian fallow, best beef, unchanged at 425. Best mutton has advanced 6d, and is now quoted at 455. At the wool sales to-day 8200 bales were catalogued. A firm demand was experienced. Coercion. Five of the prisoners who were arrested under the provisions of the Irish Coercion Act, were to-day released. Among the number was the Eev. Father Sheehy, who was arrested in May last.
