[Per Times Special Wire. 1, Native Meeting. , Auckland, Sept. 15. A large number of Coromandel natives went by the train today to attend Tawbaio’s meeting at Hikurangi. They say they will bring Tawbaio back with them. (■ : Resignation of The Rev Allan Webb, Baptist minister, has resigned. It is understood that he goes to Adelaide. The Steamer Tui. New Plymouth, Sept. 15. The steamer Tui is still ashore at Waitara. ' She has sustained further damage from rolling on- the beach, and is now moved to within her length of the mouth of the river. The tides arc taking her off. Owners of goods on board have bad salvage notices served on them. . Death of Mr W- S. Moorhouse. ■ ; - Wellington, Sept. 15. Mr W. S. Moorhouse, M.H.R for Ashley, died at 8.20 this morning. . He had been suffering from diabetes for the past two years, and while attending the 'Native Lands Court at Taupo he had an acute attack which resulted in the formation of an abscess in the right kidney. Mr Moorhouse returned toWellingtoufrom Taupo shortly after to attend the present session of Parliament, but was unable- to attend .to his Parliamentary duties. It is understood that it was-the wish of the deceased to bo., buried in Canterbury, and that the Stella, which is due bero-lo day, will leave to-morrow morning, conveying his body to Lyttelton.
