The Handwick Plate, 3 miles, was won by Wellington, with Marmora 2nd. The Steeplechase, 3 miles, resulted as follows Wrangler, 1-; Abdallah, 2 Jupiter, 3. The Members Handicap, 1 mile and 1. furlong, was won by Wheatear, the Derby, winner. OTAGO HUNT CLUB STEEPLE , CHASES. t The following are the results of the Otago Hunt Club Meeting on Saturday. A protest was lodged against the winner by Cotton, - the rider of the second horse, on the ground of being run off and crossed. Hunt Club Steeplechase, of 40 sovs. Two and a half miles. Mr Hart’s Hobin Hood ••• ••• 1 >lr Lunn’s Fakir 2 Turk, Winfield and Eomanco also ran. ........ This was a splendid race, and was Won by the good riding of Mr Taggart at the finish. , Time—4min 54sec.
