[Per Times Special Wire.] Maori Fencing.. New Plymouth, Sept. 6. About 600 natives arc fencing at Pungarehu and Rahotu. The Constabulary are pulling down the fences as fast as they are erected. No prisoners have yet been taken. The Wakatipu in Quarantine. Wellington, Sept 6. The Wakatipu arrived from Sydney at 1 o’clock this morning, and proceeded to the quarantine station. Dr Johnston, chief medical officer, proceeded on board this morning, and if lie is satisfied as to the passengers having been recently vaccinated the vessel will be admitted to pratique. Later. The launch has just returned from the quarantine station. No sickness on board the Wakatipu. She will be admitted to pratique to-morrow. A Grain Vessel. Oamabu, Sept 6. The barque Glenariff lias cleared with a cargo of. wheat for the United Kingdom.
