[Eeuteb’s Agency.] Smallpox. Sydney, Sept. 1. At the Water Police Court yesterday, a prisoner named Annie Burns wua found to bo suffering from smallpox,and was at once placed in charge of the Health Officers for removal to die quarantine station. There was groat excitement in Court when the discovery was made. In the Legislative Assembly last night the debate on Mr Copeland’s motion* censuring the Government for the manner in whi-di the quarantine regulations have been enforced, was resumed,, but after dismission was negatived on a division by 03 votes to 11. The latest bulletin from the-quaran-tine station states that Clement Lindsav one of the patients confined on board, the hospital ship Faraday, died lastnight. All the rest on board are doing.
