[Reuter’s Agency.j The Transvaal. London, August 11. In the House of Lords to-day the Right Hon Earl Kimberly stated in reply to a question that the British Government had decided not to sever any portion of the Transvaal occupied by the Boers from the territory •which had been assigned to the South African Republic by the Transvaal Convention. AfghanistanCalcutta. August 11. Telegrams are to hand from Afghanistan reporting that Ayoub Khan, although strongly supported by his adherents is hampered by want of arms, and that his advance is delayed for this reason. It is also announced that a strong force of the Ameer’s partisans is adadvancing from Cabul to Khelat, Ghilza’s Fort, about 80 miles to the north-west of Candahar, commanding the road between that place and Cabul. Ayoub Khan, according to latest intelligence, is still in the neighborhood of Candahar.
