TIMARU A. AND P. ASSOCIATION
The monthly meeting of the above took place at their offices this afternoon, Mr T. Teschemaker in the chair. A letter received from Messrs Wildie, Allan, and Stumbles stated that they had decided to award their prize of five guineas, for the best merino ram at the next show.
Mr D. McLaren proposed and Mr El worthy seconded the election of the following new members Messrs A. Pigeon. A. F, Pigeon, jun., A. Proctor, G. A. Morris, J. Farley, J. Bourne. J. Gillett, J. S. Smith, A. Empson, V. F. Musgrave, J. C. Park, A. Hope, J. Smith, W. Gunn, R. McKay, M. McGoverin, and Appliu. Carried. Mr R. 11. Rhodes offered a prize of 10 guineas for the best hunter with the proviso that two fair hunting fences are introduced for the trial instead of all hurdles. No horse to carry under 11 stone.
It was resolved to accept Mr Rhodes offer.
The nomination of Judges for the ensuing show was then proceeded with, but this business did not conclude in time for notice in this issue.
