[Reuter's Agency.] Melbourne, Aug. 11, The Rev. Charles Strong, of Scots’ Church, Ims tendered bis resignation and insists upon its acceptance. Sydney, August 11. A case of supposed smallpox has been reported to-day from Surrey Hills, where several cases occurred in June, but the disease in its present stage is not sufficiently 7 developed to enable the doctors to give a decided opinion as to its nature. A shocking accident occurred on the tramway hist night, causing the death of the Hon. G eorge Onk»s, a member of the Legislative Council. The Pacific Mail Steamship City 7 of gydnoy sailed this morning for San Francisco, via Auckland.
