This was an action brought for the return of a calf, or £2, the value of the calf, and £3 damages for detention. Mr White appeared for plaintiff ; Mr Hamersley for defendant. Mr Hamersley stated. that his client was prepared to give up the calf, but objected to pay damages for the detention. The calf was ordered to be given up within three days, the defendant to pay plaintiffs’ costa, amounting to £5 4s.
