DETERMINED SUICIDE.

[By Telegraph.] Christchurch, August 4. This morning Jeffrey Williams, 45 years of age, and of intemperate habits, was found dead. It appears to have been a case of most determined suicide. A rope was tied round his neck and fastened to a bench two feet high. The deceased had evidently laid down on the floor and pulled at the rope till strangled to death.
