The Court of Enquiry into the wreck of the steamer Samson, gave judgment on Saturday morning, to the effect that the loss of the steamer was due to an error of judgment of Captain Harvey, who took the steamer in tow early on the tide. The Samson, however, had been taken in the river successfully at the same state of the tide, by Captain < Harvey, on previous occasions. The Court considered the practice of vessels entering the river without waiting for signals should be discontinued. The captain’s certificate was returned .
