Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Tuesday, July 19. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 6 a.m. Thursday, July 21. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland, per Wakatipu, at 6 a.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Botorua, at 6 a.m. Friday, July 22. The schooner Island Lily will leave Auckland for the Chathams, at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Taiaroa, at 2.50 p.m. (Signed) Ed. Cook, Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Timaru, July 18,1881.
