S. 0. Times Office. Monday Evening. Messrs William Collins and Co., report holding their regular market and auction sale, at their rooms, on .Saturday, July 16_ The attendance was fully up to the average, with a good demand for most of the lines submitted. The entries of produce were large, and they succeeded in clearing their rooms at the following figures Carcase porkers, 3£d to 4d ; legs merino mutton, Is to Is 3d each, they being of prime quality moved off freely; bacon, 3|d to 6d per lb; cheese, 3d to 3|d; onions, 6s to 6s per cwt; Derwent potatoes, 60s per ton; kidneys, they have had enquiries for, none offering at present; fowl wheat, 5s to 7s per sack ; flour, millers’ £10; farmers’ gristing, £6 10s per ton. Groceries were in fair request. They quote coarse salt, 4s per cwt; fine, ss; sperm candles, 9d per lb; white sugar, 4Jd ; soap, 7s per box. Chinaware and crockery, furniture and a general assortment of sundries brought satisfactory figures. London, J uly 16. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, has fallen Is, and is quoted to-day at 48s; New Zealand wheat, ex ship, remains at 48s Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, at 345.
