Owing to the determined resistance offered by Arab tribes to the French troops, orders have been sent to the French squadron in the Mediterranean to proceed to Sfax to assist the vessels bombarding the place, and to strengthen the force sent for service against the Arabs. Race Stronger than Discipline* Telegrams arc to hand from Tunis announcing that several regiments of Tunisian troops, despatched to Sfax to quell the rising there, refused on their arrival to fight the insurgents, and have consequently since been conveyed back to Tunis.
