MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Tuesday, July 12. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Waitaki, at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 13. For Australian Colonies per Te Anau, at 4 p.m. (will connect with the Orient steamer leaving Melbourne on July 24.) Thursday, July 14. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Arawata, at 6 a.m. Saturday, July 16. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 2.50 p.m. Since issue of Postal Guide, the Orient Company have altered their time table to following dates for learing Melbourne : 12th and 26th July, 9th and 23 rd August, and 6th September.
