FPee Times Special Wibh.l The Missing SchoonerNelsom, July 2. No tidings have been received of the schooner Dido, three weeks out from Lyttelton to Waitapu, in ballast. All hopes of her safety are now generally given up. It is thought that in the severe squalls which were experienced after her leaving Lyttelton the ballast shifted and she capsized. She was insured in the New Zealand office for £BOO, half of which was reinsured iu the South British. Wilful Murder. Dunedin, July 2. At the inquest on the infant found in Princes street south, the jury returned a verdict of wilful murder against some person unknown. They added a rider urging the establishment of a morgue. Slander. Mr Massey, town clerk, has filed an information against Thomas Allan, seedsman, for alleged libel. The hearing is fixed for Thursday.
