CUSTOMS RETURNS.
Wellington, July 1. The Customs revenue for the quarter was £46,229. Geeymotjth, July 1. The Customs duties collected at Greymouth last month were £2637 ; for the corresponding month 1880, £3728. The returns for the Juno quarter were £7731, and for the corresponding quarter 1880, £9542. The gold duty for the quarter was £1702. Christchurch, July 1. The Customs Revenue for the month was £18,418 Is Id ; for the quarter, £50,914 0s 6d. Sydney, Julyl. The revenue returns for the quarter ended June 30 show the total receipts to be £1,393,000, being an increase of £514,000 compared with the corresponding quarter last year. The revenue of the year has increased £1,610,000 above that of the year ended June 30, 1880. The Customs revenue for the quarter shows an increase of £143,000 : the railway receipts for the same period have increased £320,000, and increases are shown under almost every other head of revenue.
