CHRISTCHURCH JEWELLERY ROBBERY.
SECOND EDITION
[By Telegraph.] Dunedin, June 15. At the City Police Court, John Anderson and Edward Hughes, charged with burglary and Inroeny of jewellery at Christchurch, were remanded till to* morrow. At the gaol yesterday, Hughes made a statement to Inspector Weldon implicating himself and others, and took the Inspector to the Ocean Beach, where there was unearthed from the sandhill# a bag containing a large quantity of the stolen property.
Christchurch, June 15. Charles Hen r}' Preston, charged at the Resident Magistrate’s Court with being concerned in a burglary at the shop of Hooper, jeweller, on May 2, was remanded till June 22.
