Negotiations have been commenced between the English and French Governments for a renewal of the treaties of 1860*and 1873 for regulating the international commerce of the two countries. The treaties will, under existing arrangements, terminate in October next, unless their extension or renewal be agreed upon. The Steamboat DisasterLater intelligence bas been received from Canada concerning the steamboat accident which occurred near London, in the province of Ontario, to the effect that two hundred and forty corpses have already been recovered. New Italian MinistryRome, May 26. A new Ministry has been formed under the presidency of Signor Depretis who held the portfolio of Minister for the Interior under Cairoli’s administration.
