The Chinese Government have telegraphed their approval of the terms of the Russian Government agreed to by their Ambassador, and it now onty remains to draw up the treaty, subsequently to be ratified. Russia restores all Kuldia to China, except a very small extent of territory having no strategetical value, which is reserved as a place of refuge for the Dungans, who may claim to become Russian iiubjects.. The opinion expressed among Russian officials is that Russia has conceded too ranch, and that the advantages obtained in exchange are inconsiderable. The Russian fleet will remain in the Pacific until the treaty is finally ratified, although little apprehension is felt on that score. 1 The increase in grain trade between London and New Zealand is remarkable Messrs John Shaw and Sons in their circular say It is worth noticing that the perennial rye-grasses are now offering from New Zealand, which is qaite a reversal of the ordinary, stale of things.
