Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the officers of the Company. In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire to state that the Company’s rights comprise the best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in the known world, at .all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell 'Souna Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian statuary and other valuable varieties. They also ■ wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non- . speculative character, .the ultimate, success of this venture beingwell established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot,"and":dhge§"’Xtp to £5; - Barger blocks are, .mpeh more yalyahle, some pure white statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a life-size human statue being about £IOOO. The present' cost ,(5l n|rpducing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubic foot f.o.b. ’These figures may appear incredible*, but they ,jjre nevertheless absolutely, correct. TJn?, i the cost of production as ahdjthe very lowest wholesale quotation at 12s per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum . .rate of 500 per cent profit. It is, therefore, no visionary matter, as these are leading commercial lines ■ and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality of product, giving a vast advantage over any like property in the world. Wc will also venture to predict that the value of the Company’s shares will increase at least 300 per cent within twelve months of issue. Referring to consuihption of these commo dities, it is also enormous. The consump tion of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime in the Australian colonics alone during the last twelve months has been £2,872,600 sterling, and rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a commodious and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all weathers, the works of the Company being situated at the water’s edge. The Government of thi. colony has also promised to favorably con sider special grants and concessions in aid as soon as the Company is successfully floated. For further particulars re other minerals found at the Wound, copper, coal, gold, &c., also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, Ac., together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, with details of the objects and intentions of the Company, we refer to the Prospectus, which can be obtained upon application to any of the officers of the Company, or from Company’s agents, the Bank of New Zealand, or at any of their branches in this colony and Australia and at the office of this paper.
