A Prosperous Society.
Sydney, April 20,
The report of the Australian Mutual Provident Society for the last year has been issued. It shows that 9623 proposals for life assurance were submitted during the year, 6551 being accepted and completed, assuring £2,181,258 ; new premiums amount to £74,666 ; claims have arisen on 261 policies, amounting to £111,413. The accumulated funds of the Society now amount to £3,379,510, being an increase of £445,713 compared with the previous year.
