TPer “ Times” Special Wire.} A Bridge Burned. Greytown, March 17, The high bridge, at North Greytown, it now burning. It caught fire about 6 this morning. It cost some £BOO. The structure has been totally destroyed, as there was no water near to save it. Another House Burnt. Christchurch, March 17. A fire occurred at Sumner last night. A large house belonging to C. W. Duckworth was destroyed. Religious Tuition. A meeting is to he held this afternoon, to consider what steps should be taken to secure religious teaching in public schools. The Primate is expected to preside. Dunedin Sessions. Dunedin, March 17. •In consequence of Judge Gillies, havingtogoon circuit to Hokitiki on Thursday, the Dunedin sessions cannot be held till April 11. The Governor on the Wing. The Governor left for Invercargill at 10, this morning. About 300 citizens were on the platform. An Involuntary Burial. Invercargill, March 17. ■ A Chinaman named Ah Doo, was killed yesterday, . at tbe Round Hill Goldfields, through a fall of earth.
