SALE OF PRIVILEGES.
Mr Moss Jonas disposed of the privileges in connection with the St. Patrick’s Day sports,at his rooms to-day. There was a large attendance and the bidding was spirited. The sale resulted as follows : —Gates, £4B; general license both, £36, Mr T. Richmond; general refreshment booth, £9, Mr T. Richmond ; games, £4, Mr T. Kennedy. Prior to the commencement of the sale the auctioneer drew the attention of purchasers to a special clause inserted in the conditions of sale, to the effect that the committee would not hold themselves responsible in the event of any postponement on account of un favorable weather or any other cause. Messrs Maclean and Stewart disposed of the privileges connected with the Pleasant Point Races, at their rooms to-day. There was a good attendance and the bidding was tolerably brisk, resulting as follows Gates, Mr McGeow n, £l6 10s ; general license booth, Mr Nelson, £2O ; refreshment booth, Mr Powell, £5 ; games, Mr Hadfield, £3 10s ; cards, Mr Hadfield, £3.
