LEVELS BOAD BOARD.
An adjourned ordinary meeting, of the above was held to-day. Present —All the members. Correspondence was read from the S. C. Timks, ro advertising
rates. It was resolved to acknowledge receipt of the information, and to inform the proprietor that “ the Board is sorry that the funds prevent them from advertising more than is absolutely necessary.” From Mr J. Clayton, complaining that an express had been driven over, the footpath. Keferred to. the " Overseer to take action. On the inolion of Mr Sullivan, seconded by Mr Frew, it was resolved that Mr Mce represent the Board on the Harbor Board. Two tenders were opened for road works, viz., J. Connor £l7 and P. Blake £lB. Connor’s tender was accepted. A petition from F. Cullmann and others for formation of St. John’s Wood was ordered to stand over until the funds are in a more satisfactory state. The overseer was ordered to have stones broken on the Wai-iti road after harvest. Accounts amounting to £l2O were passed for payment. It was resolved that the overseer be instructed to expend no money on any work by day labor exceeding £5. The meeting then adjovrned.
