BANK RETURNS.
Wellington, Feb, 11. The following is a statement of the liabilities and assets of the Banks in the colony for the quarter ended Dec. 31:— LIABILITIES.
Dr Hogg’s buggy and horse were standing outside a house this afternoon, when the horse suddenly took it into his head to bolt, and started off at'an alarming pace down Sophia street, into Church street and thence to the Doctor’s residence. Fortunately but very little damage resulted. The New Zealand Shipping Company have fixed the rate of freight to London for wheat at 50s.
