Sydney, Feh. 10.

The Hon. John Watson, Colonial Treasurer, introduced his Financial Statement in t-he Legislative Assembly last night. He estimates the revenue for the year at £5,440,000, and the expenditure at £5,232,000. ISo material changes are proposed in the estimates of expenditure, except a reduction of phe-third in the iijjiiiigration rote. Mr Watson announced that the railways of the colony are paying 4| per cent on the capital sunk in their construction. He disclaimed any intention on the part of the Government to raise a new loan in the London market at present, but stated a loan for £6oo*ooo might possibly he issued in the colony at an early date. - Now Gold Discoveries. . News has been received that gold has been discovered on the Barrier ranges on the western border of this colony.
