Messrs William Collins and Co. report holding tMr regular weekly market and sale by and ion on Saturday, of farm and dairy produce and general merchandise The attendance was very large, with an equal propoition of buj’era, at the undermentioned figures Unions, stringed, 2d per lb; Akaroa cheese, id to 4^d; locally made, id; fresh butter, id per lb, market glutted; kidney potatoes, 7s per sack; hams and bacon nominal; fowl wheat, 5s to Gs per sack ; oatmeal, 11s per cwt.; feed oats, Is (id per bushel; fowls, 3s to 4s per couple ; goldfinches, 10s each; canaries, 20s to 30s each. Teas, sugars, household furniture, also a consignment of chinaware and glass, were easily quitted at satisfactory advances on English invoices.
