Intercolonial Conference

Sydney, Jan. 23.

At to-day’s Conference tbe question of the constitution of the Federal Council was discussed, and the debate on the subject was adjourned till Monday next.

A telegram from Sir Arthur Gordon to Lord Augustus Loftus relating to the decision of the Conference to appoint a Committee to investigate the powers of the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific was considered, and a reply resolved upon.
