FIRE INQUEST.

An enquiry was held this morning at 10 o’clock before Mr Beetham, Esq., R.M., and a jury, at the residence of Mr W. Gosling, near Mount Horrible, touching the destruction by fire, under suspicious circumstances, of a large haystack on Mr Gosling’s farm on Saturday evening last. Half a dozen witnesses having been examined, the jury returned the following verdict :—“The jury are of opinion that the stack was wilfully set tire to by some person or persons unknown.”
