Prosperous Signs. Melbourne, Jan. 7. The revenue of Victoria for the last quarter amounted to £1,352,000, being an increase of £193,000 compared with the corresponding quarter of 1879. The chief increases are :—Customs, £59,000; Excise, £03,000; Public Works, £67,000, The territorial revenue shows a decrease of £15,000. The revenue for the year 1880 amounted to £4,700,000, being an increase of £392,000 on 1879. Adelaide, Jan. 7. Ihc youth Australian Parliament has been prorogued. The exports of the colony for the past year shows an increase of £1,000,000. Another Chance. Sydney, Jan. 7. Bishop Barker, who had a severe attack of paralysis is steadily- recovering.
