Duxedix Dec. 30, Grain.—Wheat —The market is quiet. Very prime samples only are inquired for. Oats—There is no inquiry except for shipment, at reduced rates. Barley—No inquiry. We quote prime milling wheat Is 7d to 4s 9d ; medium, 4s 2d to 4s Cd, inferior and fowls’feed, 2s 61 to 3s lid. O&ts Bright feed and milling, Is 4}d to Is 5Jd. Barley—Nominal. , Fat Cattle—2oo head were yarded at Burnside to day, of which about 50 were stores. The trade not having exhausted last week’s supplies the demand was languid, and previous prices were barely supported. Fat bullocks realised from £7 2s 6d to £lO 7s fid per head, and fat cows £5 to £8 17s fid.

Fat Calves Six were sold at from 14s to los fid per head. Fat Sheep.—Only 853 head were pened, consisting of 653 crossbreds and 00 merinos. Crossbreeds sold at from 7s fid to 9s 9d, and merinos (is fid to 7s 9d per head. Fat Lambs.—s 77 were penned, and sold at from 5s to 10s fid. Christchurch, Dec. 30. In consequence of the holidays, there is not much business to report.
