It will contain a scries, of Christinas Stories, each complete in itself, and illustrative of Colonial life. The names of such authors as Marcus Clarke,. Donald Cameron, Richmond Thatcher, G. A. Walstab, and Frank Morley are a guarantee of their interest. The original . poetry column embraces some happy thoughts by Australian bards, and includes a piece remarkable for its touching simplicity and pathos, entitled, “Christmas in the Splitters’ ■ Camp,” by H. Kendall; the gentleman who carried off the honors for the Melbourne Exhibition Cantata. The Supplement will be embellished with two large and yell executed engravings' illustrative of incidents in the tales, and altogether ye bplieve it will be found most entertaining apd attractive.
