Mails close at the Chief Tost Office Timaru, for the following places- (subject to the necessary alterations) as.under : Thursday,: Dec 1(5. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Kingarporaa, at (5 a.in, . Friday, Dec 17. For Chatham per Omaha, at ' 2.50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand,' per Hawea, at 2.50 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at the Chief Post Office, Timaru, on Friday, Dec. 31, and will be clue in London, on Jan. 15, 1831. ’ The Bail way Travelling Post Office will be available for late fee letters on Saturday, Jan 1, as usual.
