[Ur TuLEGKArn.] REVOLUTIONARY PROCEEDINGS IN IRELAND. DESPATCH or tub COLDSTREAM GUARDS; LAND MEETINGS PROHIBITED. A RIOT SUPPRESSED. 400 PILGRIMS MASSACRED. London, Dec. 7. The Irish authorities have demanded further reinforcements, and the Coldstream Guards have been despatched to Ireland, and were the recipients of great demonstrations on leaving London. In the event of Parnell and the Irish members who arc being prosecuted for sedition attempting to attend Parliament and to ignore their trial, they will bo arrested in the lobby. Intelligence has been received that the Khards have massacred 400 pilgrims. Dec. 8. In consequence of the increasing agitation in Ireland the Government have resolved on a recourse to more strenuous measures for preserving the peace than hayc. hitherto boon adopted. With this object they arc now prohibiting the holding of all meetings in connection with the Land League which arc considered likely to lead to disturbance. A meeting of this kind was projected to bo held at Bfobkcsborough near Enniskillen. The local authorities interfered and jjrohibited the meeting. Large numbers of the disaffected then assembled in the streets, of (he town and they were ordered to disperse. They refused to do so, and a& there was on the spot a strong body of police, which had been previously reinforced by the military, the Riot Act was read. The crowd still refused to seperate and exhibited a threatening demeanour. The constables and dragoons then charged the people whom they speedily and completely dispersed. A number of arrests were made.
