(Before R. Boetham, Esq., R.M.) CIVII, OASES. Reid v. Miller—Claim £lO 10s. Judgment by default. Timaru Building Society v. J. Dawson —Claim £lB Ills lid. Mr Berry for plaintiff. Judgment by default with costs. R. Webster, v. G. Coker—Claim £!os7d. Judgment by default with costs. Deputy Commissioner Land Tax v. King’s Trustees, claim £ Mr Jameson for plaintiff; Mr Tosswill for defendant. His Worship having reserved judgment in this case from a former sitting of the Court, now gave judgment for plaintiff. Mr Tosswill gave notice of appeal. Davidson v. Wildermoth, claim £G I3s l)d balance of a sum of £lO 13s 9d. Mr Jameson for plaintiff; Mr Hamcrsley for defendant. William Davidson, Insurance Agent deposed to the debt, originally £lO 13s Od, £4 of which had been paid on account. W. E. Woolcombc, Commission agent said lie had been employed by the last witness to collect certain accounts amongst which was the one now sued for. The defendant objected to settle the account, as he said he had a set-oil against it, amounting-to 30s. and witness said ho was authorised to allow 30s setoil. Defendant said it would be inconvenient to settle then, but he M ould do so presently. He had only paid £ I on account. Defendant had never been rendered a detailed account. Mr Hamcrsley asked for a nonsuit, as the defendant had never bad a proper account rendered. Plaintiff ivas non-suited Mithoiit costs. Hamersley v. Doig. Interpleader summons. Mr Berry for defendant. In this case, M’hich has been before the Court on more than one previous occasion, his Worship iiom - said he should order the Bailiff to pay the money in dispute—£o Tls —into Court. The Court then adjourned.
