FATAL ACCIDENT

A sad accident occurred yesterday id Waimulc, which unfortunately terminated fatally. A little child, fifteen months old, named Eliza Ann Flynn, a daughter of John Flynn, of VVannate, was burned to death. It appears that the mother left the child for a few minutes in the house playing about the floor, and while she was away the little one managed to got at the fire. When the mother returned the child’s clothes were on lire, and it received such injuries that it succumbed to them. Dr Blackpool was speedily in attendance, but his services were unavailing. An inquest was held this afternoon, at Waimate, before 11. Beetham, Esq., Coroner, when a verdict of accidental death was returned.
