[Reuter’s Agency, j Gladstone on the Irish Questioh London, Nov. 10. At a banquet at the Guildhall last evening, Alderman McArthur, the new Lord Major, in the course of a speech referred to the Prince of Wales’ inability to visit Australia, and said if His Royal Highness had made the journey he would have been astonished at the progress of the colonics. Mr Gladstone in replying to the toast of Her Majesty’s Ministers, dwelt on.the dillicultics of the present Government, which, he said, were chiefly in regard to Ireland.
