TIMARU C. C. V. OAMARU C. C

A match between teams of the above came off on the ground of the local Club to-da} r . The attendance, owing to the counter attraction was limited to the players, and only a moderate amount of interest was shewn in the match.

Play commenced at noon sharp. The visitors won the toss and sent Timaru to the wickets. Oamaru had the strongest team and they will probably win easily. The excellent bowling of G. Millington for Oamaru, and Blundell for Timaru, did much to redeem the lack of interest taken in the contest. D’Emdcn played a good innings for 22 runs, and proved the only local player who scored a double figure. The umpires are W. T. Seaton for Timaru, and A. Hardy for Oamaru.
