Since Mr Howlcy vacated his post as clerk of Court, things in the R.M. Court seem to lie drifting from bad to worse. On Tuesday last two civil cases, which had been adjourned were reinstated for to-day. It seems, however, that they were never entered in the cause list, for to-day the business was exhausted without either of the cases being called on, and but for the presence of Mr Hamerslcy who called attention to the ommission and caused the summonses to be produced, the parties concerned would have had their expense and trouble for nothing.
