[Reuter’s Agency.] Between two Services; or a Wonderful Berry* Melbourne, Oct. 23, Mr Benjamin Berry has been reinstated to the position in the Civil Service from which he was removed by the Service Ministry, A Judge in Trouble. Syunev, Oct. 23. The Commission of enquiry which was appointed some time ago to examine into the charges against District Court Judge Meyuott has brought up its report, and Government now require Judge Meyuott to show cause against his removal from his position. Victoria's Example. Brisbane, Oct. 23. A Bill has been introduced by Goveminent in Parliament to provide for the issue of Treasury bonds. New Settlement. An excellent road has been found to Port Parker, in the Gulf of Carpentaria’ together with a splendid site for a township, at the terminus of the proposed railway.
