[Beuteu’s Agency.l Melbourne Cup. Melboukne, Oct. 20. Mata’s price for the Cup is now 100 to G. Victorian Bonds. Subscriptions for the half million Treasury Bonds amount to £1,250,000. Messrs Melhado and Curtis, on behalf of the Bank of New South Wales, get almost the entire amount at £lO2 0s 2d to £lOl 10s 2d. Opposed to Table-Turning. Mr Murray Smith intends in the Assembly to challenge the .action of the Government in regard to the reinstatement of certain dismissed officials.
