CHANGES IN THE POLICE FORCE
[By Telegraph.] Wellington, Oct. 16. The following is the list of Inspectors of Police, together with the dates of their appointment, to whom notice has been sent of offering the alternative either of submitting to a reduction or leaving the service with the usual compensation allowance - Inspector Moore, Ist July, 1873 Inspector Thomson, Ist July, 1873 Inspector Fox, Ist July, 1873 Inspector Mallard, 23rd January ,1875 Inspector Keily, 7th May, 1875 Inspector Feast, 28th June, 1875 There were five other Inspectors whose names were originally mentioned for reductions, but who will not be interfered with. The following is the list of those officers, with their dates of appointment . Inspector Pender, 11th May, 1861 Inspector Buckley, Ist July, 1866 Inspector Scully, 2nd December 1868 Inspector Hickson, 20th August 1872 The following is a list of Sub-Inspect-ors marked for reduction, with their respective dates of appointment:— Sub-Inspector Kenny, 9th June, 1869 Sub-Inspector B alien, 14th March, 1870 Sub-Inspector O’Donnell, 10th September, 1872 Sub-Inspector Goodall, 18th June, 1873 Sub-Inspector Pardy, 17 th November, 1874 Sub-Inspector Smith, Ist May, 1877
