The Marine Board severely censured the captain of the Susannah Godefroy, and attribute the loss of the ship to its unseaworthy condition. The success of Laycock created great excitement. Flags were hoisted. Private advices from London report a decided advance in the wheat market. VICTORIA. In Melbourne a desperate struggle took place between burglars and larrikins, and the police. The latter were victorious. Seven Chinese have been murdered by the New Guinea natives. The natives stormed their junks.
