LEVELS ROAD BOARD.
An ordinary meeting 1 was hold today. The Secretary to the Treasury intimated that £l3B IGs had been paid to to the Board. lleply to be sent that a portion of the impounded land fund was still withheld. Mr C. Orbell wrote to closed roads. Essolvcd to convey roads as soon as it can be done inexpensively. Applications in reference to roads were received from J. L. Morris, D. Munroc, G. H. Verity, T. J. Joynt, and J. Johnston, and were referred to the Overseer. A. G. Stone wrote concerning- a culvert, which was ordered to be repaired. It was resolved that the penalty of £l3O due by Tangncy and Moynahan for non-completion of contract be reduced] to £lO. It was decided owing- to want of funds and stoppage of Government subsidy to dispense with the Health Officer’s services at the end of 'the present month.
The tenders of J. Thom ;on for contract No. 26 (£416 16s 3d,) and Butler and Levan for No. 37 (£lB6 17s 6d) were accepted. Accounts, amounting to £9OO were passed.
